Edwina & Fellow Castlefield placed 8th in Valkenswaard 5* Grand Prix

Edwina & Fellow Castlefield continued their good form from LGCT London last week, to make it a brilliant 8th place finish in the CSI5* Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Valkenswaard.

The Grand Prix course in Valkenswaard showed to be a major challenge for some of the world's best riders and horses with tricky, delicate verticals and substantial oxers in a double combination, resulting in nine qualified combinations for the second round.
The jump-off proved to be just as challenging, with just three clear round finishes. Michael Pender of Ireland secured the top podium position, while Philipp Weishaupt (GER) finished second.
The Longines Global Champions Tour race now moves to Rome, Italy, into the spectacular Circus Maximus for the thirteenth leg of the ever-exciting season in 2022 next week. Following the good results during the past two weeks, Edwina now slides into fourth place with 183.5 points in the LGCT season Championship.
