Edwina to Compete in Tokyo as Individual

Following tuesday's deselection of Jumping athlete Jamie Kermond from the Australian Olympic Team, Edwina and Katie Laurie will be permitted to compete in the Individual Jumping competition at the Tokyo Olympic Games.

Edwina jumps her way into LGCT ranking lead

After a successful Global Champions Tour in Monte Carlo, Edwina has taken the  LGCT ranking lead on 152 points. Australia's number one is jumping two places ahead, while Peder Fredricson sits behind in second place on 149 points and Ben Maher in third on 132 points.

Edwina selected for Tokyo Olympics

The Australian Olympic Equestrian Team for Tokyo has been finalised, with Edwina Tops-Alexander, Jamie Kermond and Katie Laurie selected by the Australian Olympic Committee.


Another podium position for Edwina's GCL team in Paris last weekend made Valkenswaard United take over the overall ranking lead in the 2021 GCL Championship.
Edwina was riding Identity Vitseroel along with Alberto Zorzi and Cinsey to finish in 2nd spot. A fantastic result following the team win in Stockholm last week.

After finishing a double clear for Valkenswaard United in the GCL of Stockholm yesterday, Edwina and her new ride, Fellow Castlefield, continued their success with a fantastic runner-up finish in the prestigious Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Stockholm.

Identity with 8th place in LGCT Grand Prix

Edwina and Identity Vitseroel finished 8th, and just one fence away from a place in the exciting jump-off, in Saturday's 5* Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Valkenswaard. A superb result for the 13-year-old mare, who also delivered two beautiful clears in the GCL competition to secure 2nd place for Valkenswaard United, together with team rider Alberto Zorzi.

The battle for the 2021 GCL Championship intensified dramatically this weekend, with Edwina's team, the Valkenswaard United, taking over the overall ranking lead from Shanghai Swans.

Valkenswaard United’s pairing of Peder Fredricson and Edwina Tops-Alexander took a spectacular win in an edge-of-the-seat showdown at the GCL of Ramatuelle / Saint-Tropez, sharply cutting Shanghai Swans’ overall ranking lead. Edwina was riding Identity Vitseroel.

Runner-up finish for Identity in Valkenswaard


5star jumping and world-class performances were back at stage in Valkenswaard last week when Tops International Arena arranged three days of 2 & 5 star jumping referred to as the Global Champions Tour - Global Champions League of the Netherlands - Valkenswaard. An excellent opportunity for top riders to compete on top-level again since the Covid-19 impacted the sport.

Back in St Tropez

The following two weeks, Edwina Tops-Alexander will be back competing at the Hubside Jumping event in Grimaud, Saint Tropez, with some of her elite showjumping stars.

Veronese sold to Constant Van Paesschen

The 11-year-old mare, Veronese Teamjoy, will in the future been seen under Constant Van Paesschen (BEL).

Edwina and Latisha win ranking class in Spain


Edwina finished off three weeks of competitions at the Mediterranian Equestrian Tour in Oliva Nova, Spain, with a brilliant win in the 1m45 €26,000 Jump-off Class riding the 9-year-old Belgian Warmblood mare Latisha de Regor (Diamant de Semilly x Darco). 16 horse and rider combinations made it to the jump-off, in a field of 66. Stal Tops rider and teammate Alberto Zorzi (ITA) finished second, Ireland's Michael Duffy third.

The saddest time has come for my country. For all the beautiful wildlife and families that have lost loved ones and homes, etc. The list goes on. The fires are out of control, they have taken over our country. We have to move forward, rebuild and focus on helping everyone. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by the devastating bushfires in Australia.

Edwina will be the new rider of the 11-year-old BWP mare Identity Vitseroel (by Air Jordan Z /Darco), previously ridden by Belgium's Nations Cup rider Christophe Vanderhasselt. Identity was also bred by Vanderhasselt and produced up to an international 1.60m level.

Edwina makes history in Paris

Together with California, Edwina has made history as the  first non-European to win the prestigious Longines Masters of Paris. She is also only the second female rider to do so, after the French Equestrienne, Penelope Leprevost - won the title in 2011.
